A famous man recently told me: "There are two ways to stop your partner snoring. Option one is smothering them, option two is get your partner to lie on their side and buy them a pillow that lifts their head off the bed keeping their neck nice and neutral in line with the rest of the spine."

Many, after reading his words online, began discussing their anti-snoring methods.

One person wrote: "I do a little jump so the mattress wobbles and it sorts him out long enough for me to get to sleep, but I guess I could try your way."

While another said: "I pinch his nose so he wakes up slightly and adjusts his position."

And a third added: "He fights his pillow in the night!! Screws it up in a ball and lays on the mattress! I'm stuck with snoring forever."

While a fourth commented: "My husband snores on every side that he sleeps."

According to the British Snoring and Sleep Apnea Association, 41.5 per cent of the UK population snore - and the biggest culprits are males, who are also louder snorers than women.

According to the NHS, snoring is caused by things such as your tongue, mouth, throat or airways in your nose vibrating as you breathe.

They explain: "It happens because these parts of your body relax and narrow when you're asleep. You're more likely to snore if you: are overweight smoke, drink too much alcohol or sleep on your back."

One lad came up with a rather bizarre way to reduce his partner's snoring - by licking his feet.

Samuel (19) had no idea his boyfriend Jason (21) had been licking his feet as he slept, instead dismissing his wet soles as due to some sweat glandular problem. But the truth came out when he was sleeping over at his cousin’s house and was kept awake by his relative talking in his sleep.

Jason would begin by sucking Sam’s sleeping toes and licked all around the tops of his feet. He hungrily licked between Samuel's toes like a man who had been starving to death. He moved from toe-to-toe, sucking each in turn until Sam's toes were wet with his saliva. And when he finished with one foot, he lifted the other one.

Now that he was aware of what his boyfriend had been doing at night, Sam would sometimes only pretend to be asleep.  Faking sleep while being foot-worshipped was …well, the feeling of having his feet licked and sucked was beyond anything Samuel had ever experienced before. He submitted to being ministered without resignation--he simply lay there and faked unconsciousness while his lover had his way with his feet. Jason began licking the sides of his feet. He licked Sam's soles and his heels and didn't stop until he himself groaned and shot torrents of jizz in his pajama pants!

No sleep problems at THEIR flat, but across the country….

A sleep expert has issued a warning to Brits ahead of the clocks going back this weekend.

“Yep, it's that time of year! The upcoming weekend will see the clocks going back an hour as we say goodbye to British Summer Time (BST) and officially enter the colder, darker season.

The clocks will go back this year in the very early hours of Sunday morning, so at 2am BST on 27 October, the clocks will switch to 1am GMT.”

While the prospect of sleeping an extra hour on Sunday morning sounds enticing, some people’s sleep patterns may be disrupted by the new time.

Fret not though, as a sleep expert has drafted a guide on how to help you cope with the new sleeping schedule as well as the days getting shorter.

James Wilson, who’s also known as The Sleep Geek, is a sleep expert at Mattress Online and has shared some useful tips on how not to get completely spaced out due to the clocks changing.

His advice also includes reducing caffeine intake and steering clear of alcohol that weekend which, with Halloween celebrations approaching, may prove challenging for some, so use your best judgement here and get your priorities straight.

"If you’re worrying about getting to sleep, then try some self-care to relax before bed,” the expert said.

"This could be listening to calming music, reading a book or taking a warm bath,” he continued. "Self-care habits include limiting your caffeinated drinks intake, exercising regularly and no alcohol before bed."

Wilson pointed out that stress may be the reason why some will struggle to deal with the new routine.

"For many of us the biggest issue with the clocks changing is the stress it causes us. We need to put it in perspective when it comes to how it impacts our sleep timing,” he said.

Wilson also urged people to go to bed when they feel sleepy rather than waiting out to go to bed at their usual time.

"Most of us will lie in on a weekend, so the adjustment in wake-up time is not too noticeable," he said. "One thing to consider though, is that on Sunday night don’t delay going to bed to fall asleep at your ‘normal’ time.

"Your normal time that night will be an hour later than the day before, so it’s important to go to bed when you feel sleepy.”

Finally, it’s crucial to try and get some natural light during the day on Sunday so that your body clock will adjust faster to the new time.

"Additionally, getting natural light slightly later in your day on Sunday will help set your body clock and could help your body adjust to the change faster.

"Most of us will have adjusted after one or two nights."

I don't know about you, but the first thing I do when I'm ready to get into bed is take my socks off because I cannot bear the feeling of them rubbing on my sheets.

Well, it turns out I've been living my life all wrong.

An expert has weighed in to let us all know that the best thing we can possibly do is go to bed in a pair of socks.

It turns out there's major health benefits.

He has encouraged us to think about the importance of a seriously deep night's sleep, adding that keeping our feet warm only aids that.

We should be sleeping for seven to nine hours - and at least 10-15% of it should be deep sleep.

Seeley has shared: "Wearing socks to bed can help warm up your feet, which can signal to your body that it's time to sleep. This can help you fall asleep faster and experience deeper sleep.

"Furthermore, when your feet are cold, your body may divert energy away from your extremities to keep your core warm, which can make it harder to fall into a deep sleep.

"By wearing socks, you can help prevent this energy diversion and promote deeper, more restful sleep."

He concluded: "Overall, wearing socks to bed can be a simple and effective way to promote a more restful, deep sleep."

So there we have it - from the mouth of an expert.

That reason being that, at nighttime, our core body temperature begins to drop and wearing a pair of socks will help to increase the blood flow to our hands and feet. The technical term for this is 'distal vasodilation'.

This process cools down our core temperature and makes us fall asleep quicker - which we could all do with, right?

I loved it when my partner wore socks to bed … because he would have been wearing those same socks all day BEFORE bed.  You must understand my partner was only twenty years old.  He was also a shy, 6’6” blonde, blue-eyed stallion with roots in Scandinavia.  His name is Sigurd Lund, and he never has a problem sleeping.  In fact, you can set off a cherry bomb in our bedroom and he wouldn’t wake up.  His deep sleep is something that I cherish because, while he sleeps, I take advantage of his socked and bare feet.

I’d get out of bed, maneuver myself at the bottom end of the mattress and move the covers—exposing Sigurd’s feet.  The sweaty aroma wafting from my lover’s warm, slightly sweat-dampened socks filled my nostrils and caused my cock to spring to life. I leaned down till my nose was only inches from the snoozing twenty-year-old blonde’s toes. I took a deep whiff and grew dizzy from the wonderfully pungent odor of his socked toes.

Without thinking I started rubbing them. I massaged the youth's white sock-clad toes and the balls of his feet and then worked my way down to his heels. I worked on each one, rubbing and massaging them while the Scandinavian sleeper cooed and mumbled without awakening. I carefully slid off each sock.  I sniffed each deeply before tossing them to the floor.

Then I refocused my attention on the blonde youth's now pinkish-white bare feet.

I don't know how long I massaged and played with my partner’s sleepy-but-wiggly bare toes. My fingers rubbed and playfully tweaked those supple rosy digits. They were ticklish too. Even though Sigurd slept on, those toes wiggled like crazy every time I worked my fingertips in between them.

Then I licked his soles. They were so beautiful that my tongue was sliding all over and across them before I knew what was happening. I licked that salty-sweaty flesh and heard my lover’s drowsy giggles as I got the soles of his feet all slick and shiny with my saliva. Then it was my tongue that rediscovered his toes ... and they wriggled like mad as I licked hungrily between them!

I shot a load right in my pants while probing between Sigurd’s toes with my wild, ravenous tongue. And I had just finished cleaning myself up when he gasped and awoke with a start.

Like always, I was forgiven for taking liberties while he was unconscious.
